Meet our CEO and Founder, Veronica Escobar-Mesa

Veronica founded Lynkia after realizing the need for cost-effective high-quality third-party support among North American and Latin American businesses. At Lynkia, she has focused on connecting talented Colombian university students with businesses requiring support in operational or secondary tasks. As a result, clients have been able to focus on their core activities and deliver value more effectively.  

Veronica is also currently an Analyst at The Barthwell Group, a strategic management consulting firm. Since joining The Barthwell Group, Veronica has worked on several engagements focused on change management, strategic planning, diversity, equity and inclusion, community revitalization, among others. Her previous professional experiences include marketing at a technology firm focusing on car insurance, operations at a biotechnology incubator, and customer experience at a boutique consulting firm. Throughout these positions she mainly focused on data analysis and client facing work. Finally, Veronica has four years of experience in academic research. Her research mainly focused on how startups and early-stage firms perceive and deal with failure.

Veronica is a graduate of Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, Summa Cum Laude, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management with concentrations in Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. 

Veronica was recognized as the Questrom School of Business’s Strategy Outstanding Concentrator for the Class of 2021. She was also named one of Poets&Quants’s Best & Brightest Business Majors of 2021. Throughout her time at Boston University, she was a member of the Questrom Honors Program, the Kilachand Honors College, the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Veronica was also an active member of the Boston University community, and served as the Vice President for the Colombian Student Association and Vice President of Student Affairs for the Questrom Student Government.
